Farzan complex
Birjand. Iran

"Sustainable Architecture" is the approach that I have involved in my projects since 2002. In this way I used different elements and principles of our regional architecture and our traditional experiences as well as modern issues to gain the best ideas for sustaining my designs.

The following project, Farzan complex, is one of the samples. In this project, I based my concept on the historical geometric shape of the region and I divided the area to the little parts that matches the shape of the context. Then I designed each of these divisions by a courtyard and a distinctive form that also had some principles in common with the architecture of the context. Finally I added some details for gaining the best result of sunlight and winds of the area.
In the urban scale also I thought about different ideas like special design for the icons of the context, designing the continues structure of the streets, especially for pedestrians, and adding some commercial and service areas for the urgent needs.

With the term " Green Building ", I proposed a project that was extremely self sufficient in energy and material and sustainable urban area.
